These sessions are all about your little ones. From messy, joyful cake smashes to milestone shoots celebrating their first birthdays or other special moments, this is their time to shine. Seasonal minis also happen in the studio throughout the year, giving you the perfect opportunity to capture their personality and celebrate the seasons in a fun and playful way.

In my cosy home studio, your child’s energy, smiles, and unique little quirks are what I focus on. The sessions are relaxed and full of laughter, capturing the moments you’ll want to remember forever.

HEIRLOOM IMAGES FOR LIFE

You will receive your online gallery within 14 days for you to choose your images and select your package. You will then receive the chosen edited photos to download and keep.

Cake Smash

Congratulations! What a special time for you and your baby! What a great way to celebrate, I can’t wait to be part of your celebrations. Please read below on what to expect for your session.

  • I will start the session with some props and toys and a few images of the birthday boy or girl.
  • You will then change your little one into their cake smash outfit
  • We bring in the cake!
  • I will get lots of photos. They can use their hands or a wooden spoon.
  • Splash and Play! – Your little one can get cleaned up in a mini bathtub while I take some photos.

As part of these sessions, you can also have access to my client wardrobe which includes neutral tone outfits to wear. The shoot is baby led so there is no particular time frame as we move through the photshoot.

Milestone

If you prefer not to get messy and just want some beautiful photos of your little one turning 1 or 2 or any special birthday then this is the session for you.

We will capture moments where they can play with balloons which I will provide and a selection of wooden toys and props I have.

For this session you will also have access to my client wardrobe and outfit changes are always welcomed!

Got QUESTIONS

I normally suggest a few hours before sunset. The ‘Golden Hour’ is when the light is at it’s best, even if it is a particular moody day. This means we can capture some truly magical photos.


We can discuss timings in more detail nearer the time of the shoot as it is dependent on the sunset and time of year.

Your outfit choices have a big impact on the outcome of your photos. I would love to help assist you in what to wear. To help you prepare for the shoot I will send you my style guide and we will discuss beforehand what to wear to get the best out your photoshoot.

My preferred place to shoot is near me at Frensham Little Pond (GU10 3BT).


I’ve personally scouted and prepped this location, ensuring it’s perfect for relaxed family photoshoots with beautiful textures and just-right lighting, changing with the seasons. I also know where and when the sun moves in this location providing perfect lighting for your photos.

If none of these work for specific reasons such as distance, then of course we can discuss an alternative place, which I will look at beforehand so I can find the best places for your photos!​

I know what is it like for little ones when they are out of their usual
routine so we will try to arrange the time of the shoot around nap time to make sure your children are well rested.

However if needs be I recommend adapting bedtimes & naps on the day of the shoot just as you would do for any other special occasion such as a wedding/ holiday that you are invested in where the timings are a little different. During the shoot, the momentum, excitement & attention they will receive provides them with enough energy & distraction to forget their usual schedules.

If it is a sunset session, you may want to have a larger, later lunch or early dinner and I would recommend bringing some (stain free) snacks with you. After the shoot you may want to take a change of clothes for the children if needed, even Pj’s for afterwards.

Dogs/pets are more than welcomed as long as they are friendly! Please be mindful that you will probably want some without & so a suitable safe place/lead/obedient temperament would be necessary. I have had dogs before so am confident around animals. However, pets are not recommended on any mini sessions as we have a shorter amount of time.

Ultimately, do not worry! I have two young children of my own and have been a primary school teacher for 11 years so I am very used to creating good relationships with children of all ages. The pace of the session will be around their personalities and temperament. We will be playing games, chatting and they’ll get to be themselves.
