Those first few months with a new baby are such a whirlwind. Whether this is your first or a new addition to your growing family, the days blur together so quickly. The tiny hands and feet, the sleepy stretches, the first little smiles – they all change before you even have time to notice.

As a newborn photographer I gently preserve these fleeting moments through natural, heartfelt newborn photography. Looking back on these images as your baby grows, and realising just how quickly it all passed, is one of the most special feelings there is.

What to expect…

We will document everything in a relaxed, calm way, with no rush and no pressure. If you need to stop to feed your baby or take a moment to settle them, that is completely okay and all part of the experience. Those moments are just as meaningful, and if you’re happy for me to, I can capture them too. They are all part of your story and what makes these memories so special.

Your newborn session can take place in the comfort of your own home or outdoors in beautiful natural light, whichever feels most like you. Outdoor sessions are dependent on the season and weather, but we’ll always choose the setting that feels calm, safe and right for your baby.

Got QUESTIONS

When to capture your newborn is completely up to you. There’s no strict timeframe with me. Whether your baby is just a few days old or already 8–10 weeks old, every stage of those early days is worth documenting. Tiny stretches, sleepy cuddles, little expressions – it’s all beautiful. The right time is simply when it feels right for you.

The best time to book your newborn photoshoot is during your second or third trimester. Most families secure their session while they’re still pregnant to ensure availability around their due date.
I pencil in your due date and keep flexibility in my diary, as babies rarely arrive exactly on time. Once your little one is here, we confirm the exact session date.
That said, if your baby has already arrived, please don’t worry – do get in touch, as I can often accommodate a last-minute session.

What you wear plays an important role in the overall feel of your photographs. To ensure everything looks beautifully cohesive, I provide a carefully curated style guide and offer personal guidance ahead of your session. Together, we’ll refine your outfit choices so your images feel timeless, natural and effortlessly elegant.

Ultimately it is up to you! Your newborn session can take place in the comfort of your own home or outdoors in beautiful natural light, whichever feels most like you. Outdoor sessions are dependent on the season and weather, but we’ll always choose the setting that feels calm, safe and right for your baby.

If you choose to have your session in your home it doesn’t need to look like a show home or be perfectly styled. I’m not photographing your décor, I’m photographing you and your family.
I will always look for the best natural light and simple, neutral areas within your home, whether that’s by a window or even in a doorway. Even homes that feel “dark” usually have pockets of lovely light – and that’s all we need.
Before your session, I’ll also send over my preparation guide, which includes simple tips on how to prepare your space so everything feels relaxed and ready, without any pressure or overwhelm.

Well-behaved dogs are very welcome to join your session – they’re part of the family too!
A calm, obedient temperament is important, particularly in outdoor settings.
I’m very comfortable around dogs and have photographed many over the years.
